Frances Heinrich holds a BA, summa cum laude, from Douglass College, Rutgers
University, and an MA with high honors in Art History from Columbia University.
While at Rutgers, she was fortunate to study with art icons Roy Lichtenstein,
Robert Watts, Geoffrey Hendricks, and George Segal. Their collective influence
has been enduringly pivotal in her life and creative work; most importantly
have been ideas pairing concept with craftsmanship and a fearless, inventive,
and irreverent use of methods and materials.
Many recent exhibitions of her work include those at the Newark Museum,
Monmouth Museum, Trenton City Museum, New Century Artists Gallery in Chelsea,
NYC, and the Bernstein Gallery, Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University.
Frances maintains a working studio in Princeton, NJ, and teaches several
uniquely designed art classes. She is also active as a performance and
installation artist, independent curator, and art lecturer. She has given
numerous gallery talks and lectures, including those at the Monmouth Museum,
Princeton Art Museum, Trenton City Museum, and Princeton Adult School.
