To me the excitement of sculpture is in trying to create a movement or feeling in a stationary meterial such as stone, wood or metal. I am most interested in people, in their variety of expressions, stances, movements and shapes. The variety is never ending and I try to catch an instant in time in my sculptures. Each piece is different because I let the original shape of the stone or wood show through.

I originally started as a wood carver and went on to stone. When I had a commission for a metal piece, I began working with brass.
