After teaching art in the Jersey City public schools, Wiley studied at the San Francisco Art Institute in the late 60s.  He returned to the east coast and earned an M.F.A. in sculpture from Pratt Institute in 1973.  The following years found him constructing and de-constructing numerous “pieces” – some of which have been exhibited with: The Hudson Artists; Painters and Sculptors Society of New Jersey; New Jersey City University; Caldwell College; Newark Museum; Jersey City Museum…and some even more obscure locations.  After moving to central Jersey, Wiley joined the New Jersey Sculptors Association, Artsbridge, and TAWA.  He has exhibited at the Palmer Museum, Monmouth Museum, Stockton Art Gallery, Trenton City Museum, Phillips' Mill, and The Salmagundi Art Club.
